What is Cervical Cancer?

Cancer that is formed in the cells and tissues of the cervix area is called cervical cancer. Cervix is the organ that connects the vagina and uterus. This cancer is caused by a virus called HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). This cancer is very slow-growing and usually have no visible symptoms at the start. This virus is spread through sexual intercourse.

Symptoms

In the early stages of this cancer, there are no obvious symptoms.

The early symptoms of cervical cancer are:

• Continuous vaginal discharge that may be pinkish, watery, or mixed with blood

This cancer is caused by a virus that is transmitted by sexual intercourse.
